We are looking for a way to create a report showing all the settings selected for quizzes and assignments in a spreadsheet. We are finding that when we create multiple quizzes or assignments, we sometimes miss enabling certain settings every time (i.e. multiple attempts or a time limit). This creates inconsistencies in the student experience. If we could pull a course-wide report to check and compare which settings were enabled and which weren't, that would make that review much easier.
We imagine the report would look something like this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n-Mmi8pqax911uAFQWYTf1TW1mFDDe8llol05mR_w4k/edit?gid=0#gid=0
We assume the hardest part would be to show "Assign To" with Due dates and available dates and times if there are multiple. We'd suggest the report create a separate row for each different "Assign To" to make it clear.
Hi @Ryan-Allen,
I'm going to move this question over to the Canvas Data group to see if anyone there has suggestions. I feel like Canvas Data 2 might have this sort of info available if you have someone on your team that would have the knowledge to use it. You could also use the Canvas API to basically loop through every quiz/assignments for every course in your Canvas instance and get this info out, but that's likely going to take a while to run and probably isn't the best approach here. Hopefully one of the Canvas Data gurus can give you some pointers!

Thanks @chriscas We'd appreciate any guidance on how to get this information in a way we can use to improve course consistency.
Hi @Ryan-Allen please check your Inbox.
If you are looking to audit this one course at a time, then you could check out the Custom Reports in the Canvas LMS Mods Chrome extension that I built. It includes most of the settings that you are looking for, which can be a starting point. This retrieves the data using the Canvas API.
To audit the due dates, you could review the bulk edit assignment dates page: How do I bulk update due dates and availability dates as an instructor?
