I'm getting ready to test this now, but I was curious if anyone else had tested course pacing who is also syncing grades back to a Skyward grade book via an API? I'm wondering how (or if) Skyward will accept assignment grades where assignment due dates for each user/student is not the same? If not, I'm thinking we could build individual sections in Skyward and Canvas, and perform rolling enrollments on a weekly basis with course pacing set at the section level and not the course level.
Update: My initial testing failed. When I attempted to sync the grades to Skyward, I received the following message: Assignments without due dates or duplicate assignments cannot be synced. This is very unfortunate, and I'm wondering if there are any plans to address this issue. I know several school districts that use Canvas and Skyward, so I imagine this is a needed functionality. I'm wondering if you could set a due dates on the assignments first (probably set them as the same day the course is set to close), and then enable course pacing. My hope is that the grade sync could pull that default due date on the assignment for the purposes of enabling the grade sync, but students would still see their individually assigned due date in the course.
