Our online high school is moving in the fall to a more rolling enrollment with teachers being asked to plan for both a shortened quarter and full semester timeline based on student requests. So pacing should help with that. As the Canvas facilitator for our division/district, I am trying to research and provide options for what teachers can do to prepare for themselves on Canvas for this instructional method change.
In the testing I am doing with course pacing, some items, such as exit slips or quick check-ins for comprehension that are still graded and need due dates, do not need a full "day" in the course pacing.
Is it possible to enter a "half-day" as a period of time?

Fractional days are not supported, but you can enter "zero" to have multiple items fall on the same day. For example:
Course Starts: June 1
- Syllabus Quiz 1 Day (Due June 2)
- Exit Slip 0 Day (Due June 2)
- Check-in A 3 Day (Due June 5)
- Check-in B 0 Day (Due June 5)
If that doesn't sound like it fits your use case could you expand a bit on what it is you're trying to accommodate?
