grade change notificaitons

Can students see the actual grade change in a grade change notification? For example, if I entered a new grade for a student by mistake and then (a few minutes later) entered the original lower grade again, will the student get a notification that includes the changes in letter-grade? or does the notification simply indicate that there has been a change?

Hi @_dsolomon_,
According to the info on the Canvas Notifications guide, that would depend on whether each student has the "Include scores when alerting about grades checkbox" enabled or now. For those students who have it checked, they'd see the grade in their notification, while those who have it unchecked would not see the grade. It also appears your school/institution Canvas team could choose to disable that setting globally if they wished.
