The parent portal on both a PC and through the app are worthless. Neither are accurate, most classes on the app showing last grades from November 2024, we are in January 2025! PC view, showing missing assignments, or incomplete items, but when emailing teachers - you are told its wrong and things are not missing yet there is nothing they can do about it.
How can a parent help their child and monitor progress if the portal given to parents to review is so inconsistent and out of date? I received a teacher response of "I have heard complaints about the Parent Portal version not being as accurate or a favorite. While there isn’t much I can do for this on my end, I encourage most families to look on the student’s iPad together and look at their version—it is much more user-friendly and has been more reliable."
If that is the case, why even attempt to have a parent portal when it is worthless being 2 months behind schedule on the app and not showing accurate grades on a PC? The student one is "more" reliable but not accurate, as it shows things missing as well, but teachers say its wrong, there is nothing missing.
This is something that needs serious attention and updates. I should be able to monitor grades and assignments accurately through all access points. Instead we get 3 different reports, none of which are 100% accurate. I should not have to doubt my Childs honestly over school work because the only portal we have to review work in, is garbage, in all three possible views.
