When I try to add a student I get the following error message (name replaced with ****):
The following users could not be created. ****@gmail.com: The email address provided conflicts with an existing user's email that is awaiting verification. Please add the user by either SIS ID or Login ID.
How can I resolve this? Is there a way for the user to verify their email? Is there a way to clear out whatever previous attempt was made that apparently required verification?
I tried contacting Canvas, but received an automated email that basically said they won't respond to my request, so there is no help coming from them. I'm stuck using this platform for this course (not my decision!) and I need to add this student. What am I supposed to do?
