I built a new quiz but there is no option to save it.
When I go back to modules & open up the quiz, there is nothing
when I go back to quizzes & click on it there, all the questions are still there

Hi @StevenDickerson ...
If you are building questions using the New Quizzes interface, there is no "Save" button like you were used to in Classic Quizzes. In New Quizzes, when you click on the "Build" button to start editing your quiz, you can add your questions to the quiz (clicking on the "Done" button once your question is the way you want), but there is no final "Save" button to save the New Quiz as a whole. Everything is automatically saved for you. This is different process from the way you were used to building Classic Quizzes.
If you are using Classic Quizzes, then there is a final "Save" button at the very bottom right corner of the quiz that you must click on to ensure that all your questions are saved. It is not enough to just click on the "Update Question" button for each question...as you must also click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.
I hope this will help a bit. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!

Thanks so much for the reply. When I deleted the quiz from the module & then reloaded it, it finally showed up.
Next question: Is there a way to get the speed grader for the new quizzes? Speed allows me to sort by class sections so I can enter the grades into my gradebook but on this new quiz, there is no speed grader option. When I go to "moderate" it just shows me every student alphabetically but there's no way to sort by class sections.
You can use speed grader with new quizzes. The way to access it is not like it is with Classic Quizzes - the way you mentioned by seeing it as an option when you click on the quiz name.
The easiest way is to go to the gradebook and then click on the ellipses for the quiz in the column heading.
The listing there will show the speed grader option.
you can also get it from clicking on an individual student score area and clicking on the arrow to pull up the menu options and select speed grader.
I am not sure if information on how to access speed grader from New Quizzes is in the instructor guide, but here is the instructor guide link to New quizzes
