advanced latex mode is gone

advanced latex mode disappeared, is it possible to get it back? How? In the new equation editor, when I choose "edit directly in Latex", I do not see how the formula looks anymore, I only see my latex code, and down, where the formula shall appear, I see my code repeating. Calculus teacher here 😞 , help!

This is so painful to not be able to see the mathematical rendering of the code. Please restore it. The current setup is a nightmare.

I believe this is currently an issue with the editor.  there was another thread similar to this one, where it was discussed.
