Why doesn't the student see a Next button after submitting a quiz?

I have a new-style quiz in a course that contains several multiple-choice questions.

When I submit the quiz while in Student View, the results of the quiz are displayed (e.g., the score, time, correct/incorrect answers, etc). However, there isn't a Next button to help the student continue through the course. Instead, they must return to the list of modules and select the next item in the module.

There is a Return button at the top of the results page, but that simply returns them to the instructions for the quiz (which doesn't display a Next button).

Is there a way to have a Next button at the bottom of the Results page so my students can continue to move through the course using a Next button?

I believe that might have been intentional.

Here is an idea (feature request) from 2019 asking for that: New Quizzes: Next button for Module Progression - Instructure Community - 369607.
An Instructure reply from 2021 points to a release note that makes the behavior the same as what you explained now.

On the other hand, the next Canvas Deploy will significantly improve navigation on New Quizzes for instructors, making it seem more of a native Canvas page than an outside resource, so maybe we can hope for improvement on the student view on the near future as well: Canvas Deploy Notes (2025-04-23) - Instructure Community - 639723

I tend to agree with @Gabriel33  that this is probably functioning as intended, even if perhaps it's not the best workflow for students at the very end of a quiz.  Without getting too into technical weeds, I don't think there is a way that Canvas knows when a student is on that very last page of a New Quiz, so the next button would have to be shows throughout the entire quiz, which would cause a lot of confusion for students if they just wanted to go to the next quiz question and not the next module item.  I totally agree having the button there at the end of the quiz would be great, but I don't realistically think it's something we'll see soon (but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised).
