Where is the exported file? I want it on MY backup drive as a zip file that I can use offline

I have followed the instructions for exporting canvas shell files, but where is the exported file so I can DOWNLOAD it to my backup drive as a ZIP file and be able to use and edit the files therein?

Hi @jstucker1
To export the course content, you can go to "export course content" and create an export package. It will give you an option to download the package once it is ready, and it will download it to your computer to your downloads in an imscc format.

Once you have that downloaded to your computer, you won't be able to open that file on your computer. That is a file that you can import into other courses online. You can't work on that export offline.
You can view course content offline using epub or html.

If you want to download the files of the course to work on them offline, you would need to go to "files" on the course, select all the courses you want to download and then select the option to download at the top.
