How do I turn OFF predictive text when I am writing anywhere within Canvas (including right now as I am composing this message)? I just want to permanently turn off the setting, as I find it incredibly distracting. Thank you!

Hello there, @NoraIsacoff ...
On my Windows 11 laptop, I use the Microsoft Edge browser, and I have predictive text turned on. I find it incredibly helpful because I can start to type a word (even here in the Community), and if it predicts the word(s) I want to use, I can just hit the "Tab" key on my keyboard, and it will fill in the word(s) for me. Otherwise, if I don't want to use those words, I can continue typing whatever words I want.
I understand that you might not want to use this feature, though. If you are using the Edge browser, you can turn this off by doing the following:
- Click on the three horizontal dots icon near the upper right corner of the Edge browser.
- Select "Settings".
- Click on the "Languages" option on the left-hand side of the "Settings" screen.
- Look for the area on "Writing assistance". The first option within this box is "Use text prediction" which you can toggle on/off.
There may be similar settings in other web browsers, but hopefully this will give you an idea of what to look for if you're not using Edge.
Good luck!
