Tool Configurations in Canvas Courses Exported to Google Drive

In this documentation article, it says, "Some external app LTI tools such as Google Drive and Office 365 do not retain tool configurations in exported courses." What are the "tool configurations" that it refers to? Does it refer to the configurations for external tools? Thanks.

Hi @pizzaPineapple,

Yes, it is referring to the configurations for external tools, which can mostly be found under Settings > Apps in the course.  Such tools are setting up an integration between the Canvas server, and an external service, and many such integrations must be configured at the Canvas server level, not at the course level, so exported Canvas courses may not include or be able to use those external tools if they are imported to a different Canvas server.
