Test student

Is it possible to add an email address to the test student? If it is, how do I do it?

@CarlosErnesto I do not believe there is a way to add an email to the test student.  The test student is unique to each class so there is not an interface to edit that user.  We created some fake students in our Canvas instance that can be added to courses that do have real emails (and some that are 100% fake) so we can test things better.

Thx for the reply. I tried to create or register a fake student using an .edu email address, but Canvas did not let me because the .edu did not belong to the school. How do you resolve such issue? or How do you create a fake student in Canvas? Regards,

@CarlosErnesto Are you an instructor or Canvas admin?  The Canvas admin needs to first create them in Canvas so that any instructor can add them to the course.  Instructors can only add users that are already in the Canvas system.

Got it. Thx for the quick response. I am an instructor and I already reached out to my school Canvas administrator requesting a student account or something similar that let me access an external tool as a student. Regards,
