Resume creation instruction?

I would like to know what ideas are out there to teach "how to create a resume" in an online-only course for students who are majoring in trades, such as HVAC, automotive, welding, etc. at a community college and may have limited IT skills. I have a good PowerPoint (attached) from our campus Career Development Office, but I want to be able to provide the following:

- background on functional vs. chronological resumes

- using job description/posting terms in their resume to get more hits

- building a resume section-by-section in MS Word, etc.

I plan to also post this in the discussion area, as well.

Great guidance on how to create a resume and list your professional skills . We should always go with chronological resumes.
