Respecting sections when automatically assigning peer reviews

This question was asked in 2017. Summary: When assigning peers to give peer feedback to, the automatic assign function does not respect sections. Students from different classes can be assigned to each other. That goes against how sections work with every other aspect of Canvas courses.

We still need the feature in 2025. Any updates from the Instructure product team?

@NaomieAmsing At this point, there has been no change in the feature. That feature idea is still open and I believe they are working to finalize how the new feature idea process will work. I know that exploration is going to begin soon regarding an overhaul of the Peer Review tool, so maybe this will get handled.
