Redirect Tool: Internal Course Link

I'm trying to link to an internal course page using the Redirect Tool and have that page be embedded (not opened in a new tab). Issue is it's pulling the entire page in, including the navigation menus. Is there any way to just display the meat of the page? (See content in red box in attached file)

When you create the Redirect Link, what is the url that you are using? I was able to link directly to a page no problem, as well as to a page listed within a module.

Thanks, James. Does your page open in a new tab, or is it embedded within the same page. I'm using the URL for the Canvas page I want to appear. In this example it was:

https://XXXXX.instructure.com/courses/4761/pages/connect-1-lets-meet
new_tab=_blank

I've got the redirect set to open in the same page with a url ending https://cornell.instructure.com/courses/70048/pages/here-is-a-page. Could the new_tab=_blank part of your url be causing the issue?

I removed that portion of the URL just now and still see the same results unfortunately. Can you provide a screenshot showing what your full page looks like with the redirect link in the nav menu and the page contents?
