QB not retaining questions

Hi,

I hope you can provide a solution to this problem.

I am adding new questions to a new Question Bank (classic) but it only saves a single question!

It retains the last question I have saved to the Question Bank.

It is extremely frustrating to lose time on adding the questions as I have repeatedly added the questions only to see the total question as 1.

Is there something broken?

Hi @pamela_branas,

With Classic Quizzes and Classic Question Banks, you need to hit the blue "update question" button at the bottom of the questio after you fill in all of the question details to ensure that new question is saved.  If you just keep adding new questions without hitting the update question button first, I think what you're experiencing is exactly what will happen. Instructure improved this (in my opinion) in New Quizzes/Item Banks, but I don't believe any changes will be made to the classic versions at this point.

Hi Chris! I'm experiencing the same issue, even if I have clicked the 'update question' button at the end of each question. Do you have any other ideas as to why the Question Banks are not updating?

Hi @SheranGuo,

My only other suggestion at this point would be to try a different browser if that's possible.  I created a few questions in a question bank yesterday without running into any issues, so it is hard to say exactly what's happening for you.  If you continue to have issues, I'd suggest reporting them to Canvas support so they can take a look and gather some data.
