I created a "Meet the Instructor" page and added it to the navigation menu using the Redirect App. The page is published and visible - I see it fine from instructor view, but in student view when I click on it it gives the message "complete registration by clicking the "finish the registration process" link sent to your email" and it keeps me on whatever page I am on. I have been registered for some time, so I'm not sure what the email message is about and why this would impact viewing this is student view. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I'm assuming that you are using the Re-direct app because you want this particular page to be something students will go back to multiple times during your course. Is that correct? If so, I can see the value in doing something like this. However, if you are getting an error message like you are seeing, I wonder if it's just easier for you to make a module at the top of your "Modules" page and call it something like "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" (or whatever you want to call it), and then you can just add that published page to the module. Then, keep the module at the top of the "Modules" page (above all your other modules) so that when your students are completing their course work, it's the first thing they always see.
Another option for you (which you might already have in your course) is a front page with some buttons to different areas of your course. One of these buttons could point to the page that you are wanting your students to see.
Again, I'm making a lot of assumptions here, so please feel free to add any other details that might help...thanks!

I'm not too sure why what you had tried with the Re-direct tool wasn't working. The issue you could potentially have with using it in the way you had hoped is that you would have to change the link each semester in each new course you were teaching. That link would need to point to a page in the current course...assuming that you were using the course import tool to copy content from one course to another. The suggestion I made earlier would essentially eliminate that.
To my knowledge, there is no way to add another course navigation menu button along the left-hand side of your course using the current Canvas interface. The Re-direct tool could be used to add an additional menu, but if it's not working correctly for you, then I'd stick with using the "Modules" screen like I suggested.
Hope this helps a bit!
