Is there a quick way to report INDIVIDUAL grade reports for each student in a course? I know I can export all grades to excel and I can click on a student and print their individual grade report. But is there one button that will create a report for each student?
No, there is nothing directly in Canvas that would allow you to do this.
Why does Canvas only give me the option to print an individual students grades. What kind of organization is promoting the waste of natural resources in this lame a fashion. Where is my option to export this individuals grades also? Fix this please.
@shuggin , in general (and this is only my personal experience/viewpoint) I don't think Canvas really promotes printing of anything ,which is why it focuses on making things easy for students (and parents) to access grades and assignment information, as well as making Canvas and it's apps very mobile friendly.
@kona While I understand the viewpoint of having everyone access in a digital manner, the K-12 environment is heavily invested in outreach and communicating progress to observers. Not all observers (grandparents, foster parents), etc. are set up or inclined to create accounts.
Printing would allow teachers and student support teams to get needed information to families in a timely manner.
We are moving to the Canvas grade book to be more transparent but our SIS system - teachers were able to email a grade report to all students or choose a specific group of students (i.e. students with a 70% and below).
This is needed in the K-12 environment.
Completely agree! Especially since we've moved to Proficiency Scales and there is a benefit to students and families seeing all of the student's progress on one handout. I don't have time to go into each student's Grade Summary and create/print a PDF. Also, the Canvas app only allows students to access one rubric for each assignment at a time (and doesn't give the overall progress summary like the web platform does). Being able to quickly access and print full student rubric summaries for each student for my entire class to give to them to take home as a progress report would be AWESOME! Come on Canvas! You can do it!
No, but there should be. It's one of the fundamental flaws with Canvas.
