Padlet embed issue

Hi All!

I have created a Shelf-type Padlet on the Padlet site. It seems to work fine. But if I embed it into a Canvas page, it seems to work only up until the point where the page reloads. Once that happens, I can no longer move posts around on the board—they become static. I can still move them on the Padlet site, and the changes will show up on the Canvas page. Also I can create new posts on the Canvas page and I can move them about, but only until the page reloads, or until I go away to a different page and then return. At that point, all the posts become static on the board.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround?

This was on MacOS Monterey 12.3.1, and it persisted on three different browsers.

I am not sure what would be causing that to happen after it refreshes. I'll note that am not super familiar with Padlet's product and how it works in Canvas.  I am assuming that it might be a limitation or a possible known issue with Padlets product or possibly their LTI they developed for Canvas LMS.. Are there any error messages that show up after the refresh happens? Do you have any screenshots or recordings demonstrating it going static?

Thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:

• This is not an LTI developed for Canvas. It is a generic embed code generated on the Padlet website for use on any web page. I have seen this problem manifest using Canvas on three different browsers.
• No error messages display.
• I contacted Padlet support but have not received a reply.

I like the functionality on their website and would like to use it in the Fall, but I don't want students to have to travel outside of Canvas do work with it. I want it embedded in a Page. Any help appreciated!

Thanks for the reply, Toni356. The issue described in the post you linked to is not, unfortunately, the same as mine. I appreciate the context, though, and read through all of the comments on that post, but nothing addressed my particular issue or seemed relevant.

P.S. I contacted Padlet support a week ago and have not heard anything back. Does anybody know how reliable their support is? I'd hate to commit to a platform that doesn't support its product quickly.
