Some of our students (not all) are having an issue when trying to access Office365 using the in course link. When they click on the link, they are getting the login button and are being routed to our organizational sign in page. However, after entering their credentials they get the following message: "Need Admin Approval - Office365 LTI Prod IAD needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it."
We have checked the admin panel for O365 and Integrated Apps and have set the permissions to allow third party apps access of Office 365 (refer to here for more information: https://www.urtech.ca/2019/08/solved-need-admin-approval-for-office365-email/). We have also confirmed that these students can access O365 outside of Canvas.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I checked with Canvas Support and they said that it is most likely a Microsoft problem.
Solved! Go to Solution.
We have resolved this issue. It was a setting in the Azure Administration Panel to allow users access to O365 through the LTI.
Hi. Can you please shed light on where to find this setting?
