New quiz error?

Hi All!

I'm trying out "new" quizzes for the first time. And immediately got this error:

"There is a problem with this assessment. Please contact your instructor."

All I did was create it and save it. I know it's supposed to then give me all the options to set up the questions. Nada. Just this error message. And why doesn't it know that I AM the instructor? Sheesh.

I should add that the bottom of the edit screen has a place to add a rubric -- which i don't use for quizzes.

I was having this same issue. I contacted Canvas Support, and somehow I had been "double-enrolled" in the course (my own Sandbox!) as both a Teacher and a Student. I had another teacher who was in my course remove my Student role, so I am solely a Teacher. That worked!

My issue was not role-related. This is the feedback I received. Hope this helps others.

The issue is that none of those quizzes have any questions, they only have Stimulus content, but not necessarily any questions. The instructor will need to add questions to the quiz in order for students to be able to access it.
