I received this message from a teacher.
I am teaching blind students to submit media recording assignments on Canvas. Do you have directions for using JAWS to make a media recording? I have students turn off JAWS once they have found the Start button (so that JAWS does not talk during their recording). Previously, as they made their recording, the Start button would change to the Finish button (and focus would be on the Finish button- all they had to do was press Enter to finish the recording)-that worked fine. However, since last spring, the start button does not change to a Finish button, I have not been able to have students find the finish button using TAB (after turning JAWS back on) and the video continues to record. They then need sighted help to turn it off. Can you help me with directions in how to complete a media recording assignment using JAWS? Thank you. I'd like to show this skill to my students soon (due to IEP goals) so that is why I am choosing the choice " Extreme critical emergency" Thank You!
