My institution is moving to a zero-cost textbook. I've set up a course with MyOpenMath and I want to integrate this course with Canvas. Since my institution has not yet set up a school-wide LTI Key and Secret, I was given a Key and a Secret to set up a course-level configuration. How do I proceed?

Hello @nhines1 Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. There are a series of Guides related to external LTI apps:
How do I use the Canvas App Center in a course?
How do I add an external app in a course?
How do I configure an external app for a course using a URL?
How do I configure an external app for a course using XML?
How do I configure an external app for a course using an LTI 2 Registration URL?
https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13135-415257103
All these Guides can be found by clicking on the "Guides" menu at the top of any page here in the Community, and then selecting "Canvas". Next, click on the red "INSTRUCTOR" button, and then choose "External Apps (LTI)".
I hope this information will be of help to you, Norman. Please let members of the Community know if you have any questions about this...thanks!

The Canvas Instructor Guide has a section on External Apps. Start with How do I add an external app in a course? but you might need some of the others.
In short: Go to the Course Settings page, click on the Apps tab, start to type OpenMath in the Filter by Name box.
Select on MyOpenMath and then click the +Add App button and fill in the information.
What do we do if there is an error issue in this process. I attempted to import my Myopenmath course and use the provided key and secret but an error issue pops up saying, "The security parameters for the external tool "MyOpenMath" need to be set in Course Settings." I don't see a place in the settings where I can change security parameters. The assignments won't open and indicate that the key and secret need to be updated but that doesn't make sense since I entered them as provided. I've followed all of the guides and videos on this and there is another issue that isn't discussed in those that is happening. Perhaps it would be helpful to address those somewhere for folks that run into this type of problem.
I know I am a little late to this game, but if this is happening, one possibility is that you have two copies of My Open Math in the apps. Delete one of them.
In your Canvas course settings, go to Apps and look at your installed apps. Make sure that MyOpenMath is listed and choose View App Configurations. Scroll down to MyOpenMath and from the dropdown menu on the right choose Edit. Here you will be able to update your Consumer Key and Shared Secret from MyOpenMath. If you need those keys for your class, you can find them in MyOpenMath if you go to Course and choose Export. I was having the same problem as you and this fixed it for me!
