Hi @FrancesEdmunds,
You will only see a Next button for things that have been added by your teacher to Canvas modules. If the item is in a module sequence, the Next button will be at the bottom of the screen. If you don't see a next button there, your teacher may not be using modules, or whatever specific area you're currently at isn't part of a module. Unfortunately, global community members don't have any access to your course, so this is about the best answer we can give. Your teacher may be able to give a better answer about how they designed their Canvas course if you reach out to them via whatever method they prefer (Canvas inbox, email, phone, etc).
