Situation: We sync our grades from Canvas to FACTS/RenWeb. For various reasons, we have to put holds on student accounts. Traditionally, what we've been able to do with FACTS, is withhold their grades from them until they fix the hold on their account. Currently, Canvas being a source of grades, this is not possible as students can just login to Canvas and access their grades.
Apart from suspending a user, or manually hiding assignment grades, is there a way to block a student from viewing their grades for all of their courses?
Grace and peace,
Corey

@CoreyCline Unless others have come up with a fancy way, I think the suspend user is the only option. I will say, we tell students that Canvas is NOT an official grade, so while they can see them (and it is likely to be accurate) it is not official and our Student Information System is the only source of truth.
Not sure this helps but throwing it out there.

As far as I know, Suspend the account would be the way to go.
Grades in Canvas per assignment are not visible to students until they are posted.
To suspend grade visibility, postpone the post date ...
