Instructor and course author
Setting up my fall course, I copied my materials from a previous course, including a good number of Announcements I typically recycle. It looks like they have come in as "Discussions" under Announcements. Even after changing the date (to the far future), editing the Announcement, turning off comments in Course Settings, instead of "Publish" I was given a "Save" button and when I tried to Save & send it, it wouldn't let me do it.
The only solution I could find was to copy the text from one Announcement into a new one and then send it afresh, which kind of defeats the purpose of importing Announcements.
For anyone who recycles Announcements, this will be a signifiant time sink.
Can this problem please be fixed?
