I am trying to send a message in Canvas. The course is published, but I get the error "Error occurred while creating conversation message" when trying to send the message

It looks like there was an issue for a short amount of time a few hours ago. It should be completely resolved now though luckily! If you're still experiencing an issue, please contact Canvas Support to let them know.

Me too! I sent out a message earlier today without any issues but now I can't. I've tried three different browsers and restarted my computer.
Yes me too! I can reply to old messages, but I cant send new ones.

Yep, same here. Found this out when I was trying to send a message to my teacher, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully they can resolve this soon.

I'm afraid that "Help" - "Ask Your Instructor a Question" doesn't seem to work either.
I have been getting the same thing I thought it was me. Hopefully, they do fix it because I need to message my professor. Idk what's going on but it's low-key frustrating.

I am getting this problem today 12/07/2024. This is the second time I am getting this problems this term. last time it occured, I just decided to post the message as an announcement. But this is really frustrating.
My school is also experiencing this now - I just had at least 10 people tell me it has been happening between Thursday the 5th of December and today.
I have the same problem here... Ive tried in different browsers and still the same...

I just tried and the message was sent successfully.
Does that error still occur?
