I have been asked to post to the board and then respond to least one other post. I was able to do so for a previous board but this time, when I posted my reply and got all the other replies to appear, I couldn't find the "reply" button that allows me to do so to a prior post by someone else.
What exactly happened is that I saw the "reply" button at first, I clicked it, typed out a reply, and then clicked "post reply" but it didn't do anything. I tried a couple of times, nothing. Then I refreshed the page and the "reply" button now disappeared and nowhere to be found.
I also tried opening Canvas from the app and the "reply" button is not there either. Any help please?
Hi @AhmedHadi,
From looking at your screenshot, my guess is that the discussion had been closed for comments, either manually by your teacher or automatically after the preset "available until" date/time has passed. I think you'd need to ask your teacher if they are willing to re-open the discussion for comments or adjust the available from date for you or the entire class. This is a pretty educated guess on my part as a Canvas administrator, but we in the community don't have any access to your user account or your courses to confirm this, so it's possible there is something else causing the issue.
I hope this helps a bit.

This is a self-paced course. There are replies to that specific post that are a month old. I don't believe the post timed-out. The only thing that I think could have happened is someone closed the reply option by mistake.
