Hi everyone,
I hope someone can confirm my understanding here.
I am setting up a new quiz where I want student's answers to be automatically submitted once the due date is reached. I have read this article: How do I make a quiz available before or after the... - Instructure Community - 1241, but I am not quite certain on my understanding.
I know that any work submitted after due date is marked late, and that a quiz is closed on the until date if it is specified. However, I am not sure whether having the same due date and until date will automatically submit the students' non-submitted answers as in-time submission.
TLDR: Will the configuration below make student's half-finished answers (that were periodically saved but never been submitted by the student) been submitted automatically and not marked late?
Many thanks in advance,
TL

That is correct. If a student starts a quiz with less time remaining before the quiz closes (until date) than what you set in the allowed time to complete a quiz, it will be auto-submitted when the until date/time has expired before the student can complete the work. Please see the following section in a student guide concerning quizzes 'View Time Restriction Warning'. If you set the due date to the same as the until date, the submission will not be marked as late when auto-submitted.

Much appreciated! Thank you! 😄
