Grade book

I go in and organize my grade book in Canvas (moving the columns).  If i leave the grade book page and go back to modules and then go back to grade book.  Everything that I organized is all jumbled up again.  Any help, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

My courses have many, many assignments and quizzes, and to be honest, I think it's a complete waste of time to try to organize the Gradebook. Moving all of those columns around takes too much time and effort, and it's not really necessary.

Instead, I recommend that you use the Gradebook Filters to narrow down what you are looking at it. You can "filter" the Gradebook view to just look at one Assignment Group and/or one Module at a time.

This is one time when you can make life easier for yourself.

OK but some of us like to download to spreadsheet and in this case it would be wonderful to have the columns sorted by category (or in a custom order). Dragging them by hand is extremely tedious. I can't believe there isn't an easier way.
