Fillable Word doc as Assigment?

I need to have students fill out an evaluation form for their group members; I REALLY don't want them to hand-write them, so I created a fillable form in Word using Developer. The problem is, I had to upload it as a file, but it needs to be an Assignment.  Is there any way for me to accomplish this?

Hi @jmerriam,

I think the best way to do this would be to create an Annotation-type online assignment for the students to complete.  You'd upload a template document, and then students would use Canvas tools to add text/draw on it, basically like you can usually do in SpeedGrader with student files.

The alternate way to do this would be to create the online assignment, and in the description of the assignment, provide a link to the file that you uploaded and direct students to use that as their starting point and then they'd upload the completed version as their submission.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you on this, Chris...I've been trying all sorts of ways to accomplish this, but nothing works. So, if I use your 2nd suggestion to create an online assignment, can I create a MS Word fillable form, then use the OneDrive external tool and upload my form to that? Or can I simply create a Word fillable form, provide a link to it, and have students fill it out then submit it as an online assignment?
