Extra click(s) to add due dates, available dates in Canvas this year

Hey all-
Looking for some help for myself and other teachers in my building. When creating assignments in Canvas last year, the boxes to enter dates, calendars, etc. were just at the bottom of the edit assignment page. This year, we now have to click on a link to open up a window to add them and then close/save the window. I know this is just 2 extra clicks but it adds up as you compile assignments.
Is there a way to revert to the old style that I'm missing? Thanks in advance!
FYI- I am one of the people with administrative access so if there is something that needs done that way, I can do it as well.

Hi @BRADLEYVEST,
This was a change made to Canvas last month. I do have some good news for you though... Instructure announced they are going to be largely reverting this change back to prior behavior. See the Updates to the Assign To Interface - Instructure Community - 610506 post for more detail. Unfortunately, they did not announce an exact timeline for this, but I hope it's relatively soon myself!
