Entered Course Dates, but system is automatically defaulting to Term Dates

Hello,
Problem: We use the integration function which auto-populates the courses and registered students. We prefer to allow students to access the courses for each semester at least 1 week prior to classes beginning. This means every semester we manually enter the course dates. The Spring 2024 course dates Start: December 29,2023 12a End: May 5, 2024 12a (SEE PICTURE - Example of Settings). It is currently 1/4/24 and none of the students can access their courses for the upcoming term which starts on 1/8/24. A disclaimer appears suggesting students will have access starting Sunday 1/7/24
Troubleshooting attempted:
1. Reviewed ask the community regarding parameters for course dates, term dates, and sections
2. Double checked all courses are published (all the necessary courses are published)
3. Selected 4 different students to "act as user" Each student can see their previous courses and open them. The Spring 2024 courses are in future enrollments and are grayed out (unable to select and open)
Theory on why this is occurring
Even though we entered the course dates (which should override the term dates). It appears the system is defaulting to the term date Start: January 7, 2024
Assistance and additional troubleshooting ideas are appreciated

Hi @OperationsManag,
One thing to check would be whether you also have dates attached to your course sections, as those would take precedence over course dates (section dates with the "Students can only participate in the course between these dates" option selected have the highest precedence, then course dates, then term.
Let us know what you find!
