Editing Account-Level Outcomes after Adding to Course-Level Rubrics

Hello, our organization is implementing account-level Outcomes that we will then tie in with course-level rubrics. While we intend the outcomes to remain consistent for the foreseeable future, we are wondering what would happen if we do need to make an adjustment to the wording of an outcome at the account-level (ex. fixing a typo, adding a word, etc.).

If a change is made to the wording of an account-level outcome that is tied to a course-level rubric, would that break anything within the course-level rubric(s)? Would we have to re-add that outcome to the rubric, or would the wording automatically update?

Obviously, we will try to avoid having to do this, but are just trying to evaluate all possible scenarios before full implementation. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Here is an Admin Guide that might help:  How do I edit or delete an outcome in an account?

"If you edit an outcome that has been used to assess a student, Canvas displays a message notifying you that your edits will update all outcomes associated with a rubric that has not been assessed.

Click the Save button.

Note: This message only displays for outcomes you modify that have not been used to assess a student. If this confirmation message does not display, the outcome is associated with more than one rubric and edits cannot be updated."
