Hello @DonaldOgilvie ...
Are you saying that you are logging in to two separate Canvas environments? For example, you might have two different Canvas URLs:
https://SchoolName1.instructure.com and https://SchoolName2.instructure.com
...where you'd have to fill in the names of your schools for each of those URLs.
If that is the case, then yes, you can export course content from one Canvas environment and then import it into a course in another Canvas environment. For example:
- Log into your course in the school Canvas environment where the content currently resides. Then, follow the steps in this Guide to generate a course export file (typically an *.imscc file): How do I export a Canvas course?
- Download the export file to your computer. (You will get a notification to your e-mail account that the file is ready for download.)
- Log in to the other Canvas environment, and go to the empty course shell. Use this Guide to import your course export file that you downloaded earlier. How do I import a Canvas course export package?
Hopefully your content will be added to your other course without issue. Please let Canvas Community members know if you have any questions about this...thanks!
