Course Link Validation Query

I have the following message coming up for multiple links to documents in multiple blueprint courses:

• External links in this resource were unreachable:
  •  download?wrap=1

However the links do download/open for me.

I have tried the following:

• uploaded the files again to the course files
• re linked the files

However when I validate the links again they still come up as unreachable.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

I did find a similar query on here but was unable to get to the solution.

Sometimes, when you add a new file to the page the other file doesn't get properly removed and it is still linked to the page. 
Make sure to go to the edit mode of the page and completely remove all the links to the files you have and then re-add the new one and re-save. 

Once that is done, make sure to check the page on student view to confirm the file is working. Sometimes, it will work for you as the teacher but it won't work on the student's end. If it is working on the student's view and it still shows on the link validator page, you can just ignore that.

Link Validator Suggestions

I am not sure if this is the proper place to add a suggestion for the Link Validator in Canvas, but I will try.

I find the results of the Link Validator very difficult to deal with.  I did submit a ticket on this (Case #08762810).

I am suggesting that this Tool be upgraded to use some AI to help locate and repair broken links.  If a link to another course show the course.  This sometimes happens when coping a course from one semester to another.  Please let me know if I should post this to another area.
