Hi Everyone!
I am trying to advise our faculty on the creating the following type of assignment. We have weekly prep guides for our doctoral students. Faculty want these to be graded as complete/incomplete. I have them all in a weighted assignment group that counts as 5% of their final grade.
My question is:
- Do I need to add a point value to each of these assignments?
- If I keep points at 0 for all these assignments, will the weighted group not be counted?
Thanks for the help!
Best,
Ben

@bt130 I can only find documentation on this from the extra credit area but my understanding is that each weighted category must contain something of positive point value for the category to count.
Note: For a zero-point assignment to factor into a student's grade, you must add a positive point value to at least one additional assignment in any assignment group.
So, personally I think it would be best to give these assignments a point value, even if it is just 1 point.
Hope this helps!
