I am so frustrated. I have always been able to link a Google doc to a Canvas assignment, have the student click the assignment, automatically making a copy, complete the assignment, and then click submit so that it posts directly to Canvas and I'm notified of a new submission. Now I cannot see how to do this. Has something changed? Help???

Hello there, @MatthewWagoner ...
Sorry to read about your frustrations with the Google Docs integration with Canvas. Have you considered another option that is built right in to Canvas so that you don't have to use a third-party external tool like Google Docs? Canvas assignments allow you to select "Student Annotation" as an option when creating your assignments for students. Would this option be a workable solution for you? Check out the section on "Select Online Entry Options" (about half-way down) in this Guide: How do I create an online assignment? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
Keep us posted...thanks!
