I can tell you that Instructure did not create this plugin.  I have not tried it myself but I have heard from a few admins who have and who now recommend it to their teachers.

While not a Canvas plugin, this is a great Chrome extension. I have been using it for maybe a month now and haven't had any issues with it or seen anything that it has created problems with in Canvas. Being able to quickly click from a bank of feedback has made grading so much more effecient by giving me more time for more in-depth feedback where needed!

Thank you for making this. I appreciate it! Question--is there any boundary that exists that I can provide for my IT team to assure them this can't make any major changes to our Canvas instance? Sorry to trouble you.

I'm not able to get this extension to work.  I'm sure it's user error, but after I add the extension and open Canvas nothing is different.  No boxes or dropdowns are added to my Speedgrader.  Any tips?

I love Canvas Betterizer and had the Chrome extension installed until our school district, out of concern for student privacy, deactivated all Chrome extensions.  The extensions can be reactivated if the developer signs a Digital Privacy Agreement, or DPA.  If I have understood our technical services department correctly, they attempted to contact you about signing a DPA but received no response.

There have been a lot of changes to both Canvas and Chrome, so it was deactivated. I am proud to report it's once again available! I'm flattered that people still find it useful.

Has the Canvas Betterizer extension been removed? Our district got new computers and I get a 404 error when trying to follow any links to it.

Hello all! This is an amazing tool. Could someone help me assure my IT department that these issues below are either -- not possible with betterizer and/or what mechanisms would prevent them from happening?

• Grab unencrypted canvas password (our network password)
• Extract grades and student information 
• change grades
