Can't assign assignments to a section or individual students, only to Everyone

I am unable to assign assignments to a section or even individual students... the only option I get is "Everyone." Yes, I have deleted out Everyone and tried typing the sections in manually. Yes, I have students in the sections and are typing the right section names.

This has never been a problem for me until today (11/11/24). Has anyone else ever had this same problem?

Another post, someone said it did eventually correct itself but it's been a few hours and I've had no luck.

Any suggestions?

Same here. And few options (like New Quizzes, Disable Classic Quizzes) are disabled under setting-->Feature options. Tried multiple ways, groups set is not reflecting due to some issues in question bank. I think Canvas is messed up, and It's frustrating to use canvas free for teacher in creating randomized quizzes from different categories.

UPDATE -- This issue has, in fact, magically corrected itself today. So for others who have this issue, you might have to give it 24 hours... which is frustrating but hey, I'll take it.
