I have a quiz with a manual grade posting policy. I wait until all TAs have finished and then post the grades.
However, I just received a request for feedback on a grade that has not yet been posted. The student showed me that Canvas says that the grading is still in progress, but when she clicks on "submission details", she does see that she currently has 9.5 out of 10 points. This indicates that the open question has been grade, and it's not difficult what grade has been assigned.
Is this by design? The whole point of not posting the grades automatically is that the TAs can go back and adjust as necessary. That doesn't work so well if the students can see the grade going up and down.
Did I miss some setting somewhere?
