Activity Completion Grade - Looking for comparable feature Moodle offers

I'm converting a course from Moodle to Canvas. Moodle has an assignment feature, where clicking to open a document counts as completion of an activity. Students get a grade for it. For example: A reading assignment has a link to a PDF. Student click on the PDF and opening that link counts as completing the assignment with 100. Does Canvas offering something similar? Or does anyone have any workaround ideas to get a grade for opening a link?
The only workaround I see is creating a quiz with a question asking students to confirm they opened the document.
Thanks for your time.

Not that I know of for a grade. There are module requirements where an assignment is counted as complete if they open/view the assignment, but that doesn’t translate to a grade.

Hi @MalenaM,
In addition to @mzkm's reply, I did want to confirm that there is no current feature of Canvas do have viewing of a page/assignment count as complete and be entered into the gradebook. I have seen a few others (probably also coming from Moodle) ask about a feature like this as well, but I don't think there is an official feature idea created for it yet. If you feel it's something Canvas should add, you can create the feature idea to be reviewed for development in the future.
