Throughout 2020, educators everywhere moved a notable amount of content to Canvas for students and likely began to depend on the Canvas Mobile apps. We recognize that many students are learning in different locations or may not always have access to computers. Thank you for being flexible with your course design and trying to be as inclusive as possible!

With that, have you ever wondered what it’s like to submit different assignment types as a student? We’ve got you covered.

We are happy to announce a self-paced super-casual learning opportunity for educators, designers, support specialists, and administrators. It’s Due! is ready for enrollment, and you to explore every single type of submission available for students in Canvas. You’ll have the option to view our 2020 CanvasCon presentation that explains each assignment type and some best practices for instructors. Then, you will walk through each submission type as a student with easy prompts and direct links to documentation created by Canvas to help you along the way.

Hopefully, you’ll meet some new friends during the process (there are some optional opportunities for collaboration) and pick up some new insights that will help you expand your Canvas superpowers.

To join in, simply Self-Enroll. You will need to share your name, email address, etc. If you need guidance, refer to the Canvas Lesson. It has lots of images and step-by-step instructions.

We can’t wait to start learning together! When you’re ready to enroll, we’ll be there for you.

Mobile On!

Hi @lisa_fishburn - This is a self-paced course, and will be available to you whenever! Thanks for the note about the presentation link. We're following-up with some friendly people at Instructure for our "next steps" on getting that link restored.

@KristinL I LOVE this course!  I would love to use this for our teachers in my district.  Would you be willing to share the Canvas Course export?  I would of course give you credit.  It would also allow me to customize it for our teachers/district.  Thanks for the consideration.

Hi @crhyland - Ryan and I are going to eventually offer this openly in Canvas Commons, so I think we can work something out. I'll send you a direct message to work out the details.
