Students are being increasingly asked to submit citations to back-up their work, especially now as more artificial intelligence applications are being used by students. However, checking the citation links remains manual work. Use Case: Check and highlight bad links in student submissions to speed up and improve the grading process.
While link checkers are available for content pages, they are unavailable for assignments. One of the known flaws in artificial intelligence is incorrect or fabricated citations and links. An automated link checker that could highlight bad links could save instructors and other graders a significant amount of time and help address the proper use of artificial intelligence if it were possible to use a link checking tool as part of grading.
