Hi I'm trying to understand the technical definition for the workflow_state options in this table. Can someone help explain precisely what "unconfirmed" means and what "active" means in the context of this specific table.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello @DeletedUser,
When a communication channel is "unconfirmed" it means the user has not yet confirmed it. If it has been awhile, the user likely needs a new confirmation message so they can confirm it. Users should be able to do this from within their Canvas account. Users are unable to receive notifications to this communication channel until it is confirmed.
When a communication channel is "active" it means either the user already confirmed it, it was automatically confirmed by a site admin/account admin, or it was confirmed automatically by an SIS Import for institution-assigned email addresses.

as workflow_state options vary from one table to the next, is there any sort of collection of definitions for ALL of the different dim tables?
