Using CeLTIc and the Ratings App to create a new LTI

Hi all,

I am using the Ratings App example of the CeLTIC LTI library as a base for a project. This has been very helpful, going through the code and all and figuring out what I would need for my simple LTI and such. One thing I am stuck on, though, is where the code defines the placement for the app. The Ratings app in Canvas defaults to Assignments External Tool link, and I would like to change that placement to a Course Navigation link, but I can't see where in the code that is defined! Does anyone else have experience with this library and app?

Any help is appreciated!

The project merely provides a sample LTI tool; it does not include any code for connecting it with an LTI platform.  It should be added in the same way as any other LTI application.  For Canvas, you can, for example, use the XML Config Builder at https://www.edu-apps.org/build_xml.html to generate the appropriate XML configuration to fit your preferences.

I simply added it via Manual Entry, and that only allows it through the Assignments link. I will try the other. Thank you.
