Tracking When an Assignment was Muted/Unmuted By Date?

Hi All

I was wondering if there was any data within the API or otherwise that gives you the time and date of when grades were released for an assignment (i.e. when the assignment was unmuted in the gradebook). In the API from what i can see an assignment will tell you at a point in time whether an assignment is muted or not, but we would like to know when this change occurred.

There is a notification sent out to instructors when this change occurs so i presume their must be some data somewhere for this case.

Hi Luke and the Devs on here

I have a variant of this question, as here at Sussex University we need to be able to send our marks release date via an LTI integration to Turnitin.

The trouble is that there isn't a marks release date in Canvas that we can use to conveniently map to it.

Does anyone else have any ideas about this?

Canvas engineers have said that if you need more variables made available to let them know. That could be done through the Canvas Community with a feature idea or perhaps your institution could reach out to your CSM.

Hi James,

We have asked Canvas Support about this and they mentioned that they may have this data but only for a certain period of time and that they wouldn't be able to make this information available to us at all.

I'll put in a query to our CSM and see if we can go from there.
