I'm looking to create a pop-up/dialog box when a student first signs into Canvas. The purpose would be to give a short disclaimer notice that the student accepts by clicking "ok."
Has anybody done this with their Canvas instance and would be willing to share their code and screenshots of what it looks like?
Alternatively, is there somebody who could help create such a code?

Canvas has built in support for requiring users to accept the terms of service. I think this is something you have to ask your CSM to enable, but then you should should be able to edit the terms of service and require users to accept them the first time they login.
Hi @canvas_admin,
However, while searching the community, I found this post that has a snippet of code that you could personalize and use. Unfortunately, it appears that it only works within a course, not the entire instance. (I tried throwing it into a global announcement, and I didn't get the same results as I did on a course page.)
I recommend starting a discussion in the Canvas Developers' group, You might have better luck there!
@tori_sifantonak and @canvas_admin ...
I'll move this topic over to the Canvas Developers Group for everyone. No need to start a new topic.
Thanks for the suggestion, Tori!
