We have been using the following HTML script and CSS files to display banner images on all our course pages. We've used this same script and file setup for the past two years. Wednesday, 01.10.2024, all the images disappeared. We've done the first-level checks (OS updates, browser updates, clearing cache, etc.) and we still don't have image visibility.
Canvas support so far has been ineffective (they keep telling us our script is to blame). Anyone have a similar issue recently or have any suggestions as to the root cause and possible solution?
Hi @BryanBlount,
I don't see any images in the code you've attached. It looks like your school is using custom CSS to display the images based on CSS class names. Did anything change with your Canvas theme? If so, that could certainly cause the images to stop showing up.
It's also possible that the web server that hosts the images either stopped working or the images were deleted.
Without more information, it's difficult to say precisely what the problem is, but these are the first things I'd check.
Are you using JavaScript to push the images to the pages (using the classes in the divs you posted)? If so, post the JavaScript as well and maybe we can help. You'll find it under (Subaccount) > Themes > Edit theme > JavaScript. What you posted doesn't say how the images are handled/pushed to the page, only that they were supposed to be there from what I can infer.
